“Community is a sign that love is possible in a materialistic world where people so often either ignore or fight each other. It is a sign that we don’t need a lot of money to be happy–in fact, the opposite.” Jean Vanier
Our community has roots in several places.
Many of us are connected through a monthly Bay Area meditation group that formed at a retreat at the Plum Village Mindfulness Practice Community started by Thich Nhat Hanh. We also share connections to Marshall Rosenberg’s NVC community, Spirit Rock and the SF Zen Center. For six years a diverse group of twelve adult members, with five young children, have met monthly for meditation and a shared meal. We range in age from 1 to 75.
We are now taking our community building to the next level with our cohousing initiatives in the US, Europe, and elsewhere. The first step is gathering interested people worldwide and then connecting them and getting the discussions going.
Please get in touch if you are interested in joining future mindful living cohousing project anywhere in the world.
